Themes for Vista

Hmm i'm trying to use the uxtheme patch but my vista doesnt seem to have an original to replace, search is only bring up the downloaded .dll

Any ideas?

Edit - ignore me, serves me right for trusting vista search function.

Ok after replacing the original files with the adjusted ones vista wouldnt let me back in and i had to reformat. The repair function on it is a POS as it tried to say there was nothing wrong even though when i was trying to boot into windows it told me there was something up with the ux file. I wont be trying that again thats for sure, was a 2 second job on xp and none of this hassle lol.

Black Dragon you probably replaced the files with the wrong version. I changed mine for the 64bit files by mistake the first time (assuming your on 32bit). HI did the same and had to boot back in to XP to change them back.

I havent tried it, but this program can patch uxtheme for you

i got my files patched with no problems i did click the middle icon first then relised you had to click the first 1 then reboot and then click the second patch option and everything worked fine

You can change all the colours and shading in control panel.

AFAIK Vista doesn't have uxtheme because it doesn't support skinning in the same way XP did.

yeah it does :)

And you can change the colours but the start bar is the same black no matter
