Howzit guys,

I'm wanting to install some themes on my Linux setup. I am runnning Ubuntu 9.04 at the moment and it's fantastic. However the colour scheme isn't too fantastic. :(

So how do I install new themes? I am fairly new to Linux, so go easy! :p

Thanks all!

System > Preferences > Appearance
Pick one of those themes and/or use the customize option to mix and match.

As you're new I really don't recommend installing themes from the internet.
You're using the latest gnome/metacity which may or may not play nice with some out of date themes you might find.

usually you can just download a theme.tar.gz from gnome-look.org and drag and drop into the theme window. easy as that. most themes are easy like that to install but there are a few more difficult ones to get working.
