Just wondering, if I were to sell the main parts from my PC (see my sig) to prepare for an upgrade, how much cash would I be likely to get?

  • Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU
  • 4GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400 RAM
  • Abit IP35 Pro XE Motherboard
  • PNY 8800GT 512MB GPU
  • Corsair 520W Modular PSU
And how much extra would I need to put in to allow for a worthwhile upgrade? Thinking around £200-300 on top to replace the parts.. even worth doing?

Why would you need to upgrade yet?

Get better gfx card and thats about it tbh.

I'm well aware of this.

I was adding to your comment that price checks are only allowed in the price checks forum, by saying that he should have access to them.
Therefore there should be no reason for him to post in GH (like some do who don't have access to the MM).
 
What do you use your pc for? I doubt an e8400 @ 3.8GHz is really going to seriously struggle with anything at the moment.
