So a little background about my driving history which might affect the answer you give me.
I've been driving cars for 2.5 years now, never had an accident and i'm fairly comfortable on the roads (lots of town & motorway driving). I would say i've maintained a lot of the best practices (always check your blind spots, and mirrors before any type of lane change/maneuver) that they teach you in your test.
A couple of months ago I decided I was going to pursue my bike license (as I'm nearing 22, I can only get up to an A2 license), so I booked up and passed my motorcycle theory test.
I would like to get passed before the new year, and as far as I can see I've got two main options:
I think both options have their merits, but I don't want to be on a situation where I've got my full license out of the way as quickly as possible and am left with too little experience to be safe on the road, equally I could be worrying about nothing and a Direct Access course would give me enough experience to be a safe and compitent rider.
Any suggestions are welcome, if there's a 3rd option i've not thought of, please chip in.

- CBT, after which I purchase a 125cc and get used to driving a bike, road awareness, and then book up a couple of lessons and get the A2 test out of the way.
- Direct access, book the CBT and Direct access course through a training school and get my license all done, dusted and out of the way as quickly as possible.
