I have no sound on my pc, when i try to open the volume control i get an error message saying...

"There are no mixer devices avaliable. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware. The Program will now close."

I have tried googlin' solutions with no avail. In the "Sounds and Audio Devices" properties, everything is greyd out and nothing can be selected as the default device although my Realtek AC'97 is installed and so are the drivers. I am totally out of ideas and hope, wtf do i do? :(

Ho,

Only thing I can suggest is visiting realtek / your mboard manufacturer and d'ling the latest drivers for your onboard sound.

Good luck,

and its on board.

Did you d'l the newest drivers?

This sorted out a problem I had with drivers that came with my mb.

If this doesnt wok remove the sound drivers and reinstall them - make sure you don't ley windows choose the drivers do it manually if at all possible.
