My friend has a vista laptop and is continually getting web page errors

The security certificate presented by this web site has expired or is not yet valid. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.
She then clicks on 'Continue to this web site (not recommended)' Before more messages and then entry,
Asked her to check for malware using a few different utilities and asked her to make sure she is typing in URL’s it mainly does it on AOL, but most web sites that require info sent or logins, found a few bits in google, but nothing really helping.
Anyone come across this?
