as the title says, i get :

There is a problem with your soundcard. Spotify can't play music!!

message and cannot hear anything, no sound comes out when in mediamonkey either, however, i can here the windows sounds including the log in sound and shut down sounds.

What next???

btw im using a Dell D610 Laptop so soundcard is built in

Are you using Windows Vista or 7? If so check the volume mixer accessible from the speaker icon in the notification area. Programs can now have their sound turned off on an individua basis which may be your problem. First port of call to me.

In Edit > Preferences there are a couple of sound options - try checking/unchecking them to see if it makes a difference.

windows xp mate, and when i click the volume control i get this message:

i followed what it said, however it said that the drivers are already installed and working?????

I would try a complete uninstall of the audio drivers and reinstall. Wondering if any of the third party software such as Realtek Audio Manager etc. may be to blame.
