Coz its a pile of cowdung... sweet mother.. i am sick of the lag on PSN switching between msgs (and from in game to outgame), and oh my lord.... i really really really hate how online FIFA works -

squad update

clicky X "do you want to save this file" (wtf do you think !!!!)

wait

wait some more....

and lag all the time when navigating fifa menus. :mad:

Mostly in the game its fine but holy moly.... the lag everywhere else is CRIMINAL - so theres no ****** way i would pay for this...


and i havent even mentioned the seriously evil bugs and crashes in fifa..e.g. infamous substitute screen freeze, console reseting crashes etc

the thing that really annoys me is the layout/organisation

no dedicated demo section on UK PSN store, US store has it

its not easy to find something specific and the categories are strange

You can view alphabetically?

FIFA is pretty laggy though tbh, I wouldnt say it was PSN that is directly at fault though, more like EA.

Have you played the 360 version? exactly the same

Again, mines fine, maybe your connection? if not then it could be the EA servers...
 
I've played fifa a few times online in the last few days since got my PS3, and I cannot fault it. Although I do prefer Fifa on the 360.
 
When I played FIFA 09 at my cousins house on the PS3, I found the menus very laggy. The worst was the squad selection screen, so slowwwwww trying to change a player!

Ingame I experianced more slow down than I have noticed on the 360.
 
Never really had a problem with lag in any games tbh. Only thing I have to complain about is how slow games/demos etc download from the playstation store - but then it is free so I'm still happy ;)
 
Whilst PSN may suck for some, when you really think about it, it is the first time Sony have finally tried to produce their own unified online service after what they promised for the PS2 but never happened. Even the first Xbox Live service for the old fat slab wasn't that perfect either but at least that gave Microsoft the experience to produce the current version we have to this day. Still, at least PSN is free so you have to give Sony some credit. And as some have already suggested, its mainly the games themselves that are the problem.
 
Never had a problem playing online like... ever on the PSN. I guess that's because i've never tried to take an EA game online. Sure it lacks some great features that xbox live offers but the core connectivity is just as good imo, click play and play.
 
Fifa is the only game I have issues with. As soon as I start up the game, i'm prepared for lag, server issues, connection problems and countless psn disconnections. No other game has these issues for me.

yeah alphabetical but its all split into sections its just really poor, especially considering its sony, they should know what they're doing by now, that interface should be superbly efficient and intuitive

Only FIFA for me too, any only on the EA side of things, I never get cut off from the PSN unless an EA error forces me to reboot the PS3.

PSN has always been fine other than that, no connection issues at all, I've had it Wireless and it is now wired, and they were both spot on. :)

okay psn just got caught in the crossfire of my fifa rage :p


but believe me the lag moving in menus in fifa is one of a kind - never experienced another game which "updates" each screen (that little clock icon thingy )

It feels like at times like its having to constantly refresh the screen.

Its a game which *NEVER* finishes loading...

360 version of fifa wasnt as bad i dont think - didnt have it long though.

i played one game yesterday on club and it took 35 mins for a 10 minute game (from me loading up fifa going online into DR with everyone ready as well)
