Thermal adhesive tape?

So I've got some heat spreaders from an old graphics card cooler. They had some kind of adhesive tape on them to stick them to the chips. They've since been removed and the tape is no longer sticky. Is this some kind of special heat conductive tape and is it possible to buy more?

only when the mounting is not suitable for thermal paste, eg for attaching ram/nb heatspreaders. basically, anything that dosn't screw up tight enough to squeexe the thermal paste. for a gpu, paste may be better.

I'm talking about tiny little heat spreaders that you stick on things like the vga ram blocks. Like these

Some one has already sent me an e-mail with where I can get some though.
