thermal compound is it difficult?

hi all

will soon be doing a new build hoping to buy a better cpu cooler than the standard intel one, what i need to know is do they come with thermal pads like the intel ones? if not how difficult is it to apply thermal compound myself? never done ti before and very worried about frying a brand new cpu

Descent thermal compound is infinitley better than any pad you'll get.

It's very easy too. Just use a tiny dot of paste and spread it out with something thin/sharp.
