Hi all,

I am fitting a new Cooler to my AMD AM2 X2 6000 and this already has thermal compound on there.

Should this be ok for the job as im not overclocking and have a good case with cooling fans?

Or should I add a little extra thermal compound onto the cpu as well?

If your not overclocking you will be fine. If you were to "add" thermal compound you will need to clean the existing thermal compound before applying the new thermal paste (with a tissue or something)

no no no the pre-applied TIM is whats recommended why would they put that amount on if they expect you to add more yourself.?

and never mix 2 TIM, always remove the old stuff before re-applying new TIM
