Hello all,

Yesterday i decided to take my pc apart and clean/re-build it due to random crash issues just to make sure there wasnt any lose connections etc. I've noticed since i've did this my cpu core temps acting driffent. They are idle'ing the same temp etc but it seems sometimes core2 jumps 10c higher than core 0 and vice versa every so often. Before i re-built the system yesterday core 0 and core 2 was always the same temp together maybe 1c out now and then and core 1/3 was always the same. So i'm thinking of taking it apart again and re-thermal pasting the cpu and the H50.

When i got the system i left the orignal H50 paste on as i heard it was good stuff. But if i decide to re-sit the cpu/heatsink what thermal paste is best to use out of the two i have.

1st: Akasa Silver Based Thermal Compound 450 (Had this for a long time 6months?)
2nd: Prolimatech Thermal Compound (Came from OCUK when i bought the intel i5 760 @ 4GHz bundle) Note: Doesnt state if it's silver based etc.

Or do you think using any of the two above(What i have atm) will increase cpu temps compared to the orignal H50 Thermal Paste.

Thanks,
