Are these IC Diamond 24-Carat Thermal Compound worth it to buy and was it better than Arctic Cooling MX-4 Thermal Compound http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=TH-001-ID&tool=3

Personally, no.

I've used most brands but have noticed verly little difference in performance - only vey low singular digits - if at all (and even then i factor in a better/worse conatct between the HS/cpu).

I have AS5, MX3 and MX4 in my computer tool box - and use whichever comes to hand. The only reason (apart form habit) i don't use generic is that, supposedly, quality TIM doesn't degrade as quickly under the CPU.

I use mx4 as well. Just never seem to have any problems with it and always hear good things about it.

I would love to do a head to head with MX4 and would put up a 200 tubes for the exercise if we could get enough people.

Somebody email the Arctic people and see if they are game for it.

Apparently MX-4 beats my MX-2 by about 3c. I wonder if that's really true. Also, it seems Thermalright's ChillFactor II and ChillFactor III beat MX-4.

I'm currently using Mx-4 with the better part of a tube still left.
I'm game for trying a test. Someone do as the man says and e-mail them. I'm on my way to work
