Got AS5,Akasa Silver and MX1? i think the MX1 is by Arctic also though not 100% sure on that.Which one would be the best to use with a lapped XP120?

Thanks for the replies.I've also found a couple of reviews that show the MX1 beating various compounds AS1 AS2 OCZ etc etc.Not seen a direct comparison to AS5 yet though.

2.8GHZ with AS5 = 34c
2.8GHZ with Akasa Silver = 35c

Apparently MX1 needs to be run in for 200 hours before you get a true reading so i will give that a go over the weekend.

both as 5 and mx1 need to run in for a very long time, but the temps only go down a few degrees during the process

i use the akasa stuff tbh, just because it was on special offer, although MX1 is what the freezers use aint it... so thats gotta be good !

just stay off that liquid metal crap !! by all costs

Yeh Freezer64 comes with MX1...that's where i got it from lol.Never got around to using it as i only spotted it at the bottom of the box when packing the freezer64 away

I meant try the MX1...oh nevermind.Anyway Akasa silver is running better than AS5 now! Double checked to make sure everything was running the same and allowing for a slightly different contact with IHS the Akasa is 5-10c better under load.
