Thermal Grizzley Kryonaut - consistency?
As per the title, is this stuff very viscous?
Consistency of clay or thereabouts?

I am assuming one wants a very very thin layer between cpu and heatsink?

Yes, but don't worry too much.

I had watched this the other day, btu oddly enough, I am finding issues, swapped a i7 920 to a xeon 5650, straight swap, reapplied brand new tim, everything else the same, dual fan noctua cooler, and I am finding at stock the xeon is hitting 92 under cpu load.
Seems rather excessive

Very confused now, rebooted, set everything to auto, which is basically where it was now the temps are maxing at 72, which seems more normal.
I assume something was overvoting the nasty beforehand.

I will jump to the 5650 thread and get a reference voltage to test against.

Are you using an AIO? I had this but was an air bubble caught in the pump or something.
