thermal grizzly kryonaut unspreadable

have a small tube of thermal grizzly kryonaut that I opened about two months ago on another job, I put the cap on it and today I put some on my cpu, I normally do the pea method but I noticed it didn't cover all the cpu area so I decided to spread it which didn't work because it felt dry and hard as I started to spread the thermal paste started to peel , is this because It has to be used when opened I was also thinking it could have been the cold weather .

Try warming it up a little and see how you get on.

Needs some heat putting over it and it'll spread like it did when you first opened it. I'd not used mine for a few months and it did the same.

Warm the tube up in hot water before using - it should spread fine then.

i use a hair drier to heat it up

I put mine in a water proof plastic bag, then let it sit in a pan full of hot water (from a just boiled kettle) for approx 3 minutes, then it was super easy to spread, the way it should have always been
