I'm in process of needing to reapply thermal material to my old laptop. It had some sort of thermal pads (felt a bit like rubber!) between chips and heatsink but these had weathered and crumbled away.
I have tried using AS5 paste but the contact isn't great. I also tried thermal tape but that's not much good.
Does anyone know the name of these thermal pads/strips for laptops? I can't find them! I think I'm using the wrong search term..
Any help appreciated (I know you can't link to competitors, I'm just looking for a brand or product name/recommendations)
