Hello,
I have a Gigabyte 2080ti that was displaying all the hallmarks of dry thermal paste that has been reported by many before me. I recently replaced the paste in my GPU and while in there got new thermal pads for the other parts. I can now game with my GPU not throttling itself and the fans no longer ramp up to maximum every other minute (it was loud). The temperature hovers in the 40s under normal load and up to the low 80s under full load which is what I expect for this card.
What does concern me though is that it has two other temperature readings on the card that hit 100oC when under full load. Where are these readings from, are they both from the memory or is one something else? Is this normal for these two readings to be higher by about 20oC than the GPU temp? My PC seems to run fine, no artifacts are seen and the card plays well and doesn't throttle while playing (I have logs using GPUz). I am just worried about frying the card but saw that the 3000 series memory operates 105oC as designed, am I right to worry?
