Well i just got my AFP7 (as in sig) and have clocked my 6300 to 2.6ghz.

Its now sitting idle at 47c...i was wondering, will this go down soon? I think i read/heard that the thermal materials take a few hours or days or something before they actually start to work to their fullest.

Is that true? Also, are they safe temps?

Yes its safe, don't expect anything drastic if at all tbh.

I see, i thought that over the first few days of sue the thermal pad would make a better connection due to the heat, thus making better contact, resulting in better heat transferrance.

Thats the theory, along with filling in micro gaps etc.. but i've never really seen any improvement over first install and i've literally installed thousands of cpus over the last decade and some.
