Thermal Paste for CPU, is it all basically the same ?

So i got some "titan royal grease" with my titan fenrir cooler, i applied it but noticed that i got quite high temps so i decided id check to see if i had put to much on and apparently i had. My problem is it turns out that you only get 1 blob of paste with the fenrir cooler and thus iv run out.

my local computer store has some, but its by some make iv never heard of called conig or something, it costs £4.99. my question is... is there really any noticeable difference between say artic silver thermal paste/the paste i got with my titan cooler and other more random makes ? surely it's all just paste/greese and does more or less the same quality job.

or am i wrong ?

Most of the top sellers are within a few degrees, wouldn't know about the rest tbh.

The top few are all very similar tbh.

if I was to go out and buy some, it'd be either MX-2 or OCZ freeze. If neither of them were available I'd go for AS5. I wouldn't go for a no-namer, even if it meant waiting for a couple of days for my build.

Id either go with the OCZ or the MX-2 as Ben said.
I bought the OCZ stuff myself for my new build.

LOL! Posted within seconds of each other I guess. It would be a good idea to edit out the offending letters as they can obviously still be read and you may end up with a (metaphorical) slap on the wrist.
