Thermal Paste on a Sunbeam & e6600

Hello

I should be getting my Sunbeam cooler delivered today and wondering if anyone knows the correct method for applying the TIM. I have read its best to put a thin line down each heat pipe as they are exposed but then other places say spread it over the whole thing.

Its going onto my e6600 @ 3.4Ghz to hopefully drop temps a bit.

Any advice would be great
