Thermal Paste on CPU

can someone let me know what is the best product to use to clean my CPU when i change over motherboards.

I want to clean off all thermal paste from the top before re-applying. Also if any paste gets on the bottom of the cpu can they be cleaned with the same product?

it's not on the pins but the small round connectors on the CPU only a very very thin layer but wanted to clean this up when i take the chip out.
