Thermal Paste removal

I know this is probably a stupid question but can you get away with not removing all the thermal paste. Trying to remove the thermal paste of my Titan X but it isn't all coming off.

The chip itself has nothing on it. I'm using surgical spirits and a micro fiber cloth.

I tend to use a cotton wool bud for them hard to reach bits.

Cotton bud if not it will be fine anyway as chip is clean

As above, what I do, it will come off and clean up nicely on those little bits.

I have no cotton buds and I kinda want to finish putting the waterblock on tonight. Do you think it will matter much?

NAh, but I would know its there in my mind. ASDA are usually open 24hr and in the baby section a bag of buds is like 50-70p.

use a corner of paper on those bits

I just went for it anyway. Waterblock and backplate are on now. Looks amazing!. Really need to update my project log
