currently putting together my conroe rig. I've got the CPU installed, and after many attempts, I finally got the heatsink on - MAN that was tough, I nearly broke the board with the amount of pressure needed!
My problem is that the thermal paste that was supplied on the heatsink has not completely covered the CPU, and there is simply not enough to do so. (it has, however, spread all over the heatsink, but extremely with an extremely thin layer). Should this be sufficient? I reckon only 3/4 of the heatsink actually has paste on it.
P.S. I just took a huge slice out of my finger while removing the I/O port. It wont stop bleeding! heh
