Will i notice a big diffrence in temps with cpu in without thermal Paste?

i personally wouldnt but im quite paranoid about that sort of thing.

did your heatsinc not have a thermal pad on the bottom?

Nah its a CoolerMaster Eclipse and i have none left i have been lapping cpu but will need to wait till monday to get Thermal Paste

you could give it a go boot to bios monitor temps, and shut down when it goes high.

what chip btw?

you will notice between a 5-10 maybe 15 degree up in temps . you should be okay to turn pc on and check temps . unless you have a really bad chip

You could have explained more...

Toothpaste will work as a TEMPORARY measure. It will dry up fairly quickly, so keep checking temps as you use it. Should be good for a couple of days though I would have thought.

I have heard of toothpaste being used short term aswell. Aquafresh anyone??
