thermal paste

first time using corsair h150i on a new build. reading up about how tight it should be to the cpu (ryzen 7). attached it to the cpu and cracked on with routing wires etc. about half hour later just checked by hand the tightness again of the screws and one side popped off. Now I'm unsure what to do regards the thermal paste. Its never been started I'm not at that point yet, still waiting on a gpu and need to move some wires around. Ive reconnected it for now tight as I dare by hand but do I need to reapply new thermal paste?

No you'll be absolutely fine to be honest.

It wont hurt to install Ryzen Master and monitor the CPU temperature once you're up and running. But the chances of it causing a problem are very slim.

Thanks for the reassurance. Got a temp gpu coming today so can start it up and see how it runs

Ran a cpu stress test with cpuz and the highest temp I got was 68’c. That was cpu at 100%. Soon as test stopped it dropped to 40 within seconds.
