How's it going guys my motherboard currently is in gigabyte z390 aorus ultra it currently came with two thermal probe sensors. Seeing that I cannot monitor the ram temperatures I was curious if it was safe to place the temperature probes or thermal tape them to the ram itself or anywhere close as possible to the ram to get is accurate temperatures of the Ram without causing any issues?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get RAM temp by default but yes, if you really do want to use some electrical tape to stick on the side of the RAM chip, this would be ‘safe’

Can you not get your ram temps through hwinfo? If they're Corsair ram, you can get temps through icue as well.

Unfortunately not with xpg spectrix. Thank you guys for the heads up. I most likely will stay away from probing thins. My auros z390 ultra came with two extra sensor probs to plug into the Mobo and place where ever.
