thermalright 120 - moving

doesnt sound right to me.
eleborate this moving please.
is it the whole cooler moving or just the tall heatsink?
have u installed it according to the instructions? fitted the backplate and any spacers or springs?

The TRUE does move about a bit under slight pressure. Particularly if your using the older X style mounting bracket. Thermalright introduced a rev b bracket that holds it a bit tighter.

Its pretty normal tbh, i have one in my second rig and it moves about if you nudge it or twist it. It isnt hanging loose as such. Just the design tbh.

Whats your system specs, case and cooling/airflow like. For a quick reference, on an i7 920 at 4ghz, my idles with the ultra ranged from mid 30's to low 40's. Mid 70's with dual 1900 rpm fans at 100% cpu load.

EDIT, is this the style of mounting bracket your using.

Thats the one on my second rig, it let the cooler move a bit.

This is the more secure rev b model.

This eliminated the sideways movement for me.

Also running a 3570k here, temps at 27-27-28-27, though my last core is a bit iffy as sometimes it reads as low as 15c.
