Thermalright HR-03-PLUS (8800 GTX) VGA Cooler

ds4 board
1 vga card (8800gtx)
so empty 2nd pci vga slot, below that a xfi card, cant move that down due to an ageia card in the last pci slot below that
cheers

the card + cooler & fan takes up 3 slots, can you not install the thermalright in the the wrap around version so it takes up the 2 slots above the card?

above rather than below

edit: after closer look it would seem the card + cooler & fan is either 4 or 5 slots :/

I fitted mine above with a 92mm fan(same as 1st photo)

Its depth is very close the central M/B heat sink on my IP35 and there is still about 10mm to the Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler(rotated to flow up to a top exit fan on an antec 900). this may increase the cpu cooler temp a little.

this leaves your slots usable

my GTX was running 60-80 now 30-41C :D (small OC too 600/????)

its a shame tbh, its a great heatsink but having it installed means you cant use so many of the slots :(

If you rotate your tuniq CPU cooler 90 degrees, it should fit with about 10mm clearance including the 92mm fan.

It dosn't look quite right at first but, the CPU is fully contacted with the HS. Its been done a few times around here(that where I got the idea from). the air flow works good too for me with a 900 case

however MB manufacturers may(not sure really should be std) vary CPU positions. (mine is abit ip35pro)

I don't really like the idea of my CPU cooler blowing hot air into the PSU.

In your case it's probably not a bad idea though as the PSU sits at the bottom of the Antec 900 + it has a top exhaust fan. :)
