Also the fact taht all that heat is going into your case now. Although i beleive the stock one is pritty poo and does that anyway instead of exhausting it. But at least it has a fan, you need a fan drawing the heat away.

'All that heat' generally makes bugger all difference, you don't need a fan either. If the heatsink has enough surface area it will dissipate the heat without forced cooling.

Edit: Troop, you got that Accelero on yet?

Going to take the 8800 apart over the weekend, need more ram coolers though :( .

Thermalright range is excellent. I have one for my 8800 GTX which is a heat monster. Keeps it cool plus you can choose the fan make/size yourself rather than it coming with some cheap one.

I had one .. fantastic at cooling the GPU ... heat in case isn't an issue as the stock cooler isn't that good at getting it out IMO ... but the vram runs far too hot as its only got a small area to dissapate ... maybe will be fine on the GT ... but my ultra vram @ 2300 was worrying me so much I put the stock cooler back on .... at least for now, water is planned soon :)

Re the clips .. I didnt like or trust them (you could say I wasn't a fan :p ) I ended up using cable ties.
