Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help please, I'm attempting my first build and I've hit an issue with my Thermalright Silver Arrow and RAM clearance. The mobo is a gigabyte z77x ud3h, when I install the outer fan it wipes out 3 RAM slots, does anybody know if I mounting the fan on the other side will cause any issues? Probably a stupid a question I know.....just want to make sure.

Hi Tamzzy, yeah they are definitely right, the TY141 is the outer fan, TY150 in the middle of the heatsink, if I put it on the other side it's pretty useless, air blowing away from the heatsink

if it fits, gap or no gap above the ram, it doesnt matter. the fan can be touching the ram and both will still be fine
as long as the heatsink itself is fitted properly to the cpu, you dont want a 170 quid piece of kit burning up

20/20 I know but low profile memory is the only way to go with today's big coolers and 140mm fans :D

Looks like bottom fins are very close to RAM in your pic.

Will your case side cover fit with fan setting on top of RAM?
