re: THERMALTAKE A1926 120MM BLUE LED CASE FAN 78CFM 21db

Are the specs for this fan over-rated?

need a blue LED 120mm fan for my project case and on paper this seems pretty good.

thing is, I've gone and bought one BEFORE asking the question. ooops!!

Hope a few of you have got these and are very happy with them..lol!!

They push that amount of air but they are louder than they say, 7volt it and it should be fine

I can guarentee you that they are louder than 21db as i have two of them and at full whack they scream like a bloody banshee. They are really loud! I have mine connected up to a vantec nexus fan/cathode controller and for the most part run them on low speeds. They do shift a hell of a lot of air on full pelt though which is why one of mine sits on my SI-120 and keeps my cpu cooled very nicely, (29 idle/41 100% load).

my fan came this morning, it certainly screams on 12v. Switched to 7v and Its on par with te large fan in my powersupply. Which is prety quiet..

gotta say I am very impressed with the T/take thunderblade. Using it in my cheapy case with my current system for now but what a difference!!

Its cooled the whole system by about 10degC. Thats at 7volts too!!!
