Hi people,

Just had a try out of the Thermaltake BigWater 760i
This is the all inclusive 2 bay thingy.

Im not a total noob at watercooling, but far from a guru.
Im wondering if there may well be something wrong with my installation or is it just a P.O.S?

I have to have the fan running full speed to keep temps down and even at best at idle Im on mid 40's c. I have modded the case with an additional vent in the top so there is a better airflow and also modded the spare blanking slot to allow release of air from the front. I even have to leave the case door open because that increses temp by a degree or two.
CPU is an AMD6400 not currently clocked, running 2x 8800gtx, also in the loop. The fans a noisy thing, overall quite dissapointed and not an improvement over big typhoon air cooler. Ive read the thermaltake waterblock is garbage, so is it worth replacing? I know the AMDs do tend to run slightly warmer but was honestly expecting slightly better temps......Opinions or ideas please guys.

Yea, the entire thing is a bit rubbish! Having the res, pump and rad all in one really isnt a good idea, the rad is just usless and cant shift enough heat from it. When I started watercooling my mate gave me 2 free rads, both thermaltake ones and got them both in my loop, a 240 and a 120 and even with both of those my temps arnt amazing. Would probably be better with a PA120.1 rad by thermochill to be honest.

Would be better taking it out and sticking it up on ebay lol, if your going to get a kit, go for a swiftech one!

I'm not trying to be a git but man if you can return it do it asap.

Its extremely restrictive both pumps and waterblocks
Your waterblocks will corrode due to the alu and copper mixing.
The flow meter isn't worth anything.
The reservoir and raditor are a joke.
The coolant is nasty.

Here are some pictures after a year of use never mind the high amount of blocks that crack...

Confirmed my thoughts, thanks.

I dont feel done over really as I picked it all up dirt cheap.
Wanted to give it a go as Ive seen mixed reviews, but the principle seemed good.

Off to ebay it goes then......

would be the two 8800GTX's in the loop causing the high heat, and remove the sweary. For water the best option really is going custom
