in recently months Western Digital announced the release of a new version of its popular Raptor hard drive series dubbed the WD Raptor X. The WD Raptor X is a unique product in itself and incorporates an acrylic top in order to see the inner workings of the hard drive. In order to use the WD Raptor X with the Thermaltake Aguila VD1000BWS Mid-Tower Case requires the purchase of an optional 5.25" to 3.5" adaptor kit.

Can anyone shed any light on any issues they may have had or heard of? I'm looking to get a new case today and I'm holding back in fear of this gorgeous case not working properly with all my bits and bobs. I was looking to get two raptor X drives. Also, will a G80 fit in it? seems tight from the pictures I've seen. The G80 measures in at a little less than 11 inches in length.

I looked up the "X" model and it seems they have half the life expectancy of the noraml raptor so that idea is gone, any issues with none window raptor?

The only problem with them is you can buy the 500gb 7200.10 for less money. Due to being so dense they are nearly as fast and offer 3x+ more storage, quieter too.
