I have been looking at this case, Thermaltake Armour Super Tower and i was wondering if there is any other cases that offer better cooling, at around the same price.

What spec is your rig, do you run it overclocked?

Also quite important to case temp and your choice of case, how many hard drives?

it is possibly going to be for my new rig. i will probabilly do some overclocking, and ill be having at least 2 hard drives maybe 3 not sure yet.

Ok then, good starting point :)

How much money do you have to the top end of the budget?

Because you choose the Thermaltake I am asuming that you do not like Lian Li style cases.

The armour is a good case which can produce some high volumes of airflow, can be a bit more difficult than some other comparable cases to silence, but you can get it low noise quite easily.

If you like the looks of it, then it is about the best thing you can get for the money. If you do not mind about looks, then buy the Akasa Eclipse as it beats it at cooling, quality and noise - all at the same time.

Add the side blow hole to the Eclipse and it could cool a oven, and out perform anything using air cooling at a given low volume.

The downside to the Eclipse and why it is not the perfect case, it has a plastic front. :(

ive hav like £1400 to spend on a pc, and im lookin to spend around £90 - £100 on a case.

I do like that Eclipse but like u said it has a plastic front. I dont mind about looks but id like a case wit a side window. Ive also been looking at the NZXT Lexa which looks brilliant and the cooling is good as well so ive read, also the Antec P180 is supposed to hav brilliant air flow and cooling.

There are quite a lot of good cases and its hard to decided on one. What r the Silverstone Temjin TJ06 and Silverstone Temjin TJ05 they both seem pretty good.

Vinny of here got a Lexa and was a little dissapointed with the quality of the case considering price.

How about a Eclipse with side window :p

It will be the best case for that sort of rig, the front IMO looks 100x better than the armours as it is in a different league in terms of quality.

EVERY review of a case unless it is a comparative one will say it is excellent, one thing to bear in mind is that any case, from the Estar Benz right up to the TJ07 could house a FX60 and a 7800gtx SLI rig just fine at stock.

The cases really come into there own in terms of performance to noise ratios and the build quality, be it no sharp edges or high quality materials.

Typically Thermaltake uses the cheapest materials and finnishes possible to enable them to make feature packed (which I have never needed or wanted) case. Lian Li for example give you literally just what you need, no more, no less, but present the apckage using literally the best metals and even use high quality rivets if you email asking about them.

I would personally steer clear of the p180 if your going for anything other than a silent rig, although almost every other case can be made to be as good as it, it is the easiest.

The armour is ok, but not a very popular choice, and it is beaten in everything by the eclipse, although the front on the eclipse is plastic, personally I prefer it to the armours attempt at being a gaming case.

If you browse the cases gallery there are a lot of Eclipse users, but only a couple of armour ones, which is testemount to the eclipses great cooling/noise ratio.

How about maybe one of the new Lian Li S80 cases coming out soon, I will be getting one certianly but I think it may just tip over your budget slightly.

Just had a look at that Lian Li PC-S80 and it looks very nice indeed. Whats the price going to be? its is bloody heavy though, but i dought i will be lugging it around every where.

Not gonna be that heavy really, it is a Lian Li so built to last.

It could be a £170 case, but I am holding my hopes up for just over £100 region.

But I really do not know, as there is no confirmed stock anywhere at the moment, but soon, very soon!

I have a black Tt Armor and am VERY happy with the build quality/finishing (it's bloody heavy) as well the cooling and noise levels, the 2 blue 120 mm fans are low rpm so even without a fan controller they are virtually silent. By far the loudest things in my setup are the HDD's.
