Are these still viewed upon as aweful?

I have one, the shark to be precise *starts making jaws noises, dun dun dun dun*, and I really like it...the quality is spot on, fair enough, the vents let a lil noise out, but I normally have music on loud, so it doesnt get to me...and overal I love the design...But I know on here a few months back, everytime I asked about them, I got shot down...just wondering what the opinions are now?

Depends entirely on the case.

Months back they still had most of the old crap beyond beleif range about, now it is just the newer, and FAR superior models.

Sharks generation and above are very able cases indeed now, just not priced that competatively most of the time, but very very good cases if you remove the competition.

Coolermaster are the company having quality control issues now, they are the new Thermaltack.

Thermaltack will still get bashed for some of there products (reserator copy etc) and they still copy other cases and add features over quality, but not to the extent of doors falling off on their own like the old Xaser IIIs did.

I quite like a couple of thermaltakes designs from the front now actually, although most are to close to a all out gaming case for my liking.

They have a trend with 25cm rubbish fans and pneumatics to do simple things, not needed and would make the cases cheaper or built better, little niggles but not as bad as before.

Some Shark's are good, some are not. If the case is made this year then odds are it will be a good solid one, before quality control was a bit lapse.

I read somewhere they had implemented a new production system on the newer cases to cut costs, and improve quality.

Literally, for once, Thermaltake got my thumbs up with a big grin. ;)

The future is bright for them, give it a year or so and them switching to non gaming cases and there would be a competitor to the high end no doubt, and a worthy one.

Far of yet mind, and the money is on vulgar gaming cases, surprised they did not copy the Vento, oh wait...
