Thermaltake - major problems

I'm having a right mare at the moment with trying to contact thermaltake. Has anyone here tried to contact them before or is able to supply a telephone number?

I've written on their euro support site page request form 3 times in the last 2 weeks. They say it will take 24 hours for a reply to any message sent to their tech support team. BS. I've tried messaging their general support page on the site, no responce from there either.

I've now gone to thermaltake USA and written to them, again meant to be 24 hour responce. Nothing.

Basically I bought a big typhoon from overclockers.co.uk, the board I bought was faulty and went back to another supplier. They were not interested at all in refunding me for cooler seeing as the pads and the H bracket are still stuck to the back of their faulty board. I couldnt remove them due to the fact it would have most likely left an awful mess or damaged the board physically. I didnt want to void the RMA.

Overclockers say I have to contact thermaltake, so I've been trying to and they're just completely ignoring me. I'm starting to get in a slight bit of a rage as I cannot find replacement pads/brackets anywhere and it just amazes me to think that someone would make a one use heatsink and not supply any spares.

Help please before I start randomly stabbing people :(

Welcome to the forums :)

I'm sorry, i can't help you with regards to contacting thermaltake but that tech support conversation sounds really bad :\ It really annoys me when the person on the other end of the phone has no idea on what you're on about, and they call that technical support  Hope you get it sorted mate

BTW you aren't allowed to mention competitors of OcUK on these forums, better remove their names before a mod sees it

Have a Thermaltake Big Typhoon on my board and have all the bits left over that weren't attached. Attached to an Asus A8N deluxe with an Opteron CPU. Which bits do you need? Can send what I have left if that'll help you.

Tried PM'ing you, but for some reason won't let me do it. Drop me an email if easier home<at>jamesdunn.org

Hi Dimebag,

Next time you fit this don't remove the backing paper on the side that normally sticks to the mother board, this means you will probably need to fix the processor and HSF before you put the motherboard in the case, but it will prevent RMA issue's due to modifications and you will be able to remove & refit the HSF relatively easily.

Getting parts from Thermaltake - all I can say is good luck, it took 6 weeks and 10 emails to get a pack of screws. In the end I decided the whole mounting method was a bit Heath Robinson so I bought one of the metal back plates from the USA, it cost £7 inc. delivery. If you hunt around on the Thermaltake website you will find a main distributor for the UK and their phone number, maybe they can help.
