Thermaltake Soprano Tower (Transparent X type side panel)

I've got the silver one, they are built well, but the front door is a bit flimsy, but on the positive side, they are very good for cooling with 2x120mm fans and a side 92mm fan. Plenty of space for additional hard drives too.

coincidentally i just got mine on monday, VB1000 SWS, it is quite high build quality, tonnes of free space, felt much more roomy than my soprano, the side window is HUGE shows off all your components, I can't coment on the usefulness of the supplied fans, as i pulled them straight out and fitted coolinks, but hey, it's 2x120mm and a 92mm on the side panel, so they can't do too bad a job,I had a little trouble fitting my x1900xt with the tooless expansion slot thingies, so i had to take that out, however, it does work for single slot expansions...as i tried the supplied coolink fan controllers, and it held them in place fine, got no cuts from the case, very roomy, although i had a little problem fitting my hard drives and my x1900xt (which is massive) this probably wouldn't be such a problem with smaller graphics cards. the clips for the HDD's and optical drives work fine aswell.

all in all i had quite an enjoyable build, no big problems with the case, just the large card issues, cooling inside is quite good, lowered my recorded temps on speedfan by 3-4 degrees.

good case for the money :D

edit: to comment on the front bezel, it does seem a little flimsey, but if you pull it open from the middle, and push it closed at the middle it feels fine, to be honested, i knew it was plastic, but really couldn't tell the difference before i touched it, they have done a good paint job, dunno bout the black one though

I have a Soprano VB1000BWS, was not much fun to install into. I found it a real job getting my graphics and sound cards into the PCI-E/PCI slots because of the stupid plastic screwless design things which get in the way - you need to open 3 of them before you can get a PCI card past, and they have a horrible habit of closing as you're trying to get the card past, not to mention the fact that some of them like to fall off. The build quality of most of the case is fine, but the plastic parts are pretty poor quality, the all plastic 3"5 drive locks are very variable and the plastic locking device is crap, easy to dent and no matter how you twist it you can still pull it out, but it does enough to stop the HD/floppy drives slipping out. 5"25 drive installer rails are fine but a bit of a tight fit. One important hint - remember there are left and right slider rails, and they'll only work if you have them on the right side. I found the top USB/audio panel a nuisance, I had to unscrew the whole thing to get my Enermax Liberty 500W PSU in, and the wires hanging down from the top get in the way and make the case even more crowded with cables. The stupid curvy front panel seems designed only to get in the way - sure it looks nice and shiny, but it's pretty thin plastic and you need to unlock it to get at the buttons and drives behind. Easy enough to unscrew completely though.

But on the plus side it's very cool, with the two 120mm front and rear case fans and the 92mm side fan do a pretty good job, and my E6400 is running at 27c idle.

like i said, just remove the clips, and there is no problem, if you have a normal sized PSU the top mounted stuff won't get in the way, and i found it quite easy to bundle its wires up with those of the PSU, so they don't mess up the inside of the case.

it's decent quality don't be put of by this poster ;)

Do you think the case would be good for an OCZ Modstream 520 W power supply slightly larger than normal psu's but not by much with modular cables. A 7900 GTO 512MB, quite a long and big gfx card, one harddrive, 1 dvd and 1 dvd rw. 1 Floppy drive, and quite spaced out from the power supply to the cpu.

yup,it should fit all that, i have a x1900xt in mine(its HUGE!!) and the rest is pretty similar to what i have in mine, with a standard PSU i have a 1.5"gap between the back of the PSU and the top connectors.

just checked that PSU, should be about 1" free, plenty of room TBH ;)

Good to hear, its ordered :) .

I got one on friday, removed the pci slot screwless things, I got a x1900xt fits ok. I also managed to fit the swiftech ultra + kit inside aswell!! just waiting for my bay reservoir to come to finish it off. Looks a nice case plastic front is a bit of a let down doesnt look bad, just a nice metal one would feel better!
