Thermaltake VX Typhoon

Hi all

Just wondering if this cooler is any good? There's one just sitting in the cupboard at work doing nothing. Boss might let me have it if I ask nicely, but would only be interested if its any good

!

So thoughts?

Had an original Big Typhoon and must say it was a damn good cooler, on par with the scythe ninja. Haven't looked at air cooling solutions recently though so have no concept of what is now considered good performance.

Had the original one too and it was great on a single core opty but struggled with a dual core one (socket 939). Changed to the TR Ultra 120 and saw a nice drop.

It was a top cooler 2 years ago but things have moved on since then.
