Thermochill Rad Question

So here I am totally overhauling my rig my rig when I find that my newly purchased Monsson threaded barbs are way to small in the thread department to fit my old but trusty 120.3 rad. I discovered this after I spent an hour fitting 6 new fans to it with rather nice vibration absorbing rubber mounts instead of self tapping screws.
Can any one point me in the direction of a step down adapter or am I going to have to use some nasty old nylon barbs that I have??

Thanks.

Nice one, that sounds like a logical solution are they available form this store or is a trip to a plumbers merchant in order?

You can get the adaptors you're after for pennies from most plumbers merchants, OCUK did used to sell them but I can't see any on the site so I assume they didn't bother restocking due to lack of supply.

Something to bear in mind though, if you're delving into the times before the industry homogenized on G1/4 size then your also delving into the time when the was a US/European divide on the actual thread type too (NSPT/BSP iirc), as thermochill was a British company you will be needing a G3/8 to G1/4 adaptor with the british thread type not the American.

Of course most plumbers merchants will give you british sizes anyway, however i your sourcing of the internet then stay away from G3/8-G1/4 adaptors by US companies like Swiftech, DTEK, etc.
