anyone got some piccies of the top of one of these?i have looked on the net but can`t seem to find any with enough details .want to see how the top is fixed for filling purpose before i order one.gonna be external as the one i made has started leaking(around the barbs where i masticed it in :(
so i wanna buy one and this seems like the cheapest/most suitable res for my setup
so someone please post some piccys :)

I had one m8 when i watercooled my pc, the top has a big nut type thing fitted and is very easy to fill from inside the pc, word of warning though, you may have to take the end caps of and re seal them as the stuff it come`s with is very weak.

Here are a few piccys

Hope this helped.

cheers mate :)
i would be using the res outside of the case anyway.am a bit nervous about putting all that water inside so have designed/made my system external with the exception of the WB obviously :D
about how big is the hole at the top of the res please?

Vantec Vibration Dampening Kit for Case Fan - 120mm ? if so im sure i have a spare around.

no mate a neoprene gasket to go between the 3 38mm ystech fans on my thermochill He120.3 rad.
last time i put a thin layer of mastic to provide a better air tight seal between rad and fans ,but found it wasent practical as when i wanted to clean the dust out of the rad i had to reapply the mastic every time
this time i am going to put some sort of filter over the rad (maybe a pair of stockins ;) ) and get a proper res,had quick connect ehiem taps on the flow and return too.
i think these cut down the bore/flow quite a bit so am planning on doing away with them this time

will do m8,my res and stuff should be here tomorrow.but it might not be done till xmas :( .unless i can find a free weekend to `play` :D

well got my ass into gear and installed the bits today
temps now at 42oC idle with core temp
apogee wb @3.00 ghz :)
am happy with that
also i put a 40 mm fan onto the nb so temps are about 40 oC according to easy tunes(which also says my cpu is at 28 oC)
have taken a few pics and will hopefully post them tomorow :)
P.S. the turbulance inside the res is tremendos, does the supplied foam reduce this?
i have not used the foam yet as i was wondering about reducing the flow rate if i did?

I had the foam filter fitted to mine, just push it through the top of the res locking nut as you may get some crap in the water at some point and this filter will catch it.

as you can see the rad is mounted inside an old chimmney along with the pump.cables aint been tied up yet as you can see :D
EDIT:fixed
