You might've read in one of my other threads that I couldnt get the thermometers on my case to show a reading...
I've dug out a piece of paper from the bottom of the box, and this is all there was, can someone please help me make some sense of this/translate it to english for me? haha:

MIT-6 Thermometer Instryction

CH-33 Module Function

CH-033 1cd module have one group temperature function, the temperature result tried which connected by one group fans will display in the thermometer(88degC) and temperature alarm.

1. Temperature: temperature result which connected by RT will display in the thermometer(88degC) and display by a hand in the thermometer(temperarure-88degC).

2. Rotation speed of fan monitor: the figure (fan leafs in the thermometer) can show the state of exhausting fan which is at the back of the cases by animation. The icon (8880 fan in the thermometer) can show the rotation speed of the fan. When the fan stop rotating, a fan will alarm and show 0.

3. The rotation speed of the fan depends on something adjust automatically which can try temperature, the range from 0degC to 40degC is low rotation;40degC to 60degC is middle rotation;60degC to 70degC is high rotation: over 70degC will start alarming.

Right...
ANY ideas? :|
Cheers

I havent seen any previous threads on this. I take it you have an lcd display of some sort which should be showing temperatures. You have a thermal diode on a long wire stuck to something, and plugged into the panel. Have you also connected the molex power lead to it? A photo of the back of the panel in question would be useful

Have you connected a fan through it, and if so does it tell you the rpm? Any three wire fan should so, connect it to the panel

Yer, i've connected the power cable to it, all lcd displays (theres 2) light up blue, but the thermometer readings are just showing '--'degC, no matter where i put them :S, can't get them to show a reading at all.

Also, where do i plug those fan2 3 pin connectors from the LCDs to? The motherboard?
I've only really got the cpu fan connected to the mobo..
:(

How many wires on the 3 pin cables are there? If only one, definitely connect it to the board. It'll give you an rpm reading in software.

No reading at all suggests dead or improperly connected diodes I'm afraid. Check they'er plugged in correctly, otherwise I think you're on for rma

3 3 pin cables, all saying 'Fan2' on them.

I've checked the connections on the back of the LCD panels and everything, theyre all connected fine. I've also emailed Overclockers about this issue but haven't received a reply :S

Do you think they'd be able to just replace the lcd panels+wires?
I REALLY can't be bothered to change the whole freekin case :|

haha

oh and which connector should I put them to on the mobo?
There are several fan connectors that it could fit into but i thought they were for fans to be plugged into to give them power :S

Leave them unplugged if they have 3 wires per connector.

I didn't realise cases came with this built in. A cheap one by any chance? I think they'll probably want the entire case back. Rma staff tend to work to a template and refuse to deviate from it. Hopefully they'll reply with something useful

Well i emailed them a couple days ago and no reply :( might have to send it again
I would contact the manufacturer directly but I can't even find a website :|.
Yer it was only like £38 somethin like that.

Sorry i got that wrong, theres 2 wires per fan2 3 pin connector, one black wire, one blue...

That's almost certainly earth and rpm. Are they next to each other, or is there space for a third inbetween?

On a 38 quid case, the thermometers wont be accurate anyway. Id leave it as it is, not worth the time to replace

Just a bit annoying that theres a case with lcds showing nothing ahaha, says theyre accurate to +-2degC, but that sounds too accurate to me aha.
I'll see what overclockers say if they do reply, if I can persuade them to replace the lcd displays then i don't mind changing those over, but if i have to send the case back then i'll leave it.

Right im wrong again, sorry about this haha....
They are 3 pin connectors, with 3 wires, a black, blue, and green...

it looks to me like this shouldnt connect to the motherboard...
looks like the fan should go into this connector, but then how am i supposed ot connect the fan back to the mobo :S

Oh. So when you said plug, you meant socket. I did ask for a picture.
You dont need to connect the fan to the motherboard, it draws power from the front panel instead. Some of these things allow you to connect it to the mb as well to monitor rpm in software.

First build?

Haha sorry! Yer its a socket :(

AHhhhh
makes sense, but as for hte cpu fan, i cant connect that anyway i dont think cus thatt has 4 pins. So if i want any rpm reading im gnona have to buy case fans :| ahaha.
And as for the temps...theyre bust?

Second build, but never set up a case with anything like this on :p
