Thermostat Radiator Valve broken?!

Hi guys,

After the in laws stayed over Christmas, the radiator valve has mysteriously snapped off!

Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to get the whole thing off and replace it? I've tried to push/screw it back but no luck.

If you can get same make - may get a replacement - prob have to buy whole valve?

Should just "clip on" but looks like a bit of plastic missing on bottom /rh half? So may have been "walked into"! To replace is either drain system or freeze pipe locally with a kit:

Can you not undo the knurled ring that is still fastened to the valve to remove the damaged remains of the head and then replace like for like?
Failing that, as above just replace the whole TRV.

Maybe buy a replacement head like this.

That replacement head might work, and yes I can unscrew the metal ring.

Edit - even better, just found one I had in the shed which I bought earlier this year but didn't need, fit like a dream and all sorted! One man job to tick off the list

Just had to do the exact same job myself.

Was worried that it was going be be difficult, but thanks to this thread it was a breeze.
