Some more benchmarks:-

Its one extremely fast system!! Next installment will be the same system with the two 7950 GX2 cards in place.

However in the new nForce 590 chipset boards the 7900 GTX gets a huge performance boost with LINKBOOST technology which is only on the nForce 590 chipset and ONLY supported by 7900 GTX cards.

Its not quiet m8! In fact a little dissapointed in these all powerful Tagans as i personally rate the 700W as superior.

Is that with the stock heatsink? If so, whats the AM2 Stock Heatsinks like?

Nope its a sample from AMD so its OEM. We had issues finding a heatsinks to fit as AM2 socket is not compatible with current Socket 939/940 heatsinks. But the Freezer 64 does fit, just not 100% great.

Yes the 590 chipset now gives NVIDIA the performance crown back. This combination is really unbeatable and further NVIDIA's lead over ATI. With 7950 GX2's out end of this month NVIDIA will have both the quickest single card solution by far and with the ability to quad SLi to rub even more salt into ATI's wounds.

Gibbo, I have one Tagan 900w, it's not noisy either (maybe 18db at idle, my case fans are louder), in fact I have to put my head near the rear of the pc case to hear it.

Well I've heard all our PSU's in action and the Tagan 900W and 1100W units do not impress me!

Give me a Sparkle 700W anyday as they work flawlessy and are quieter.

Is it faster than an identically configued 939 system i wonder?

The DDR2 seems to make it feel more fluid and responsive but were talking only a minute difference at best.

if you have a look, i can match his scores, apart from 03, cause ive only ever ran it once.

i can get higher scores, as ive messed with my cpu, and gained an extra 100 points in cpu 06, so should just about beat his score.

though only using ccc for my cards and if i had a better psu id clock them up with ati tool to 17k in 05

good cpu score in 06, mine is 2311 which is very close to yours

ill have another go and see if i can beat your scores

I wonder what this rig would get with a couple of X1900's in as that could be interesting.

Also what you clocking your X1900's at? Any volt mods and remember the overclock I have done on the 7900 GTX's is very mild as only clocked the core upto 700MHz.
