So these are my idle temps:

My system :
Phenom II 1090T @ 3.8ghz (with arctic cooler 7 rev2)
GTX 570 SLI 1280mb stock
2x4gb ripjawx stock

I have 2 large exhaust fans and 2 small intake fans, I'm using an Antec case:

I know that running an SLI system on air with incur higher operating tempatures, but from what I can tell, my temps seem to be too high for idling compare to other people.
I AM running my CPU overclocked, but at the stock speed, it idles 2C cooler. So it's still idling at 40C anyway. I had to reapply new thermal paste because the paste with the cooler was making it idle at 50C when I first got it!

What can I do? Is there a better case? Can I watercool the cpu on the cheap? Will reapplying thermal paste on the GPUs help too?

edit: I would like to add that I have my desktop on my desk, next to the window (which I leave open)

your temps on the core are about average for a overclock on air, mine hovers between 35-48 idling and never higher then 60 under full load. for the gpu you could reapply the paste or buy a aftermarket cooler both of which should decrease the heat. but again gpu's always run pretty hot compared to a cpu cooled.

The H70 looks promising, what about the other components, do they take up much space in the case?
I can't go on with these temps if I want my PC to live a long healthy life.

Havnt looked at h70 on phone, but if its same size rad as a 120mm fan then it won't take much room up inside your case,be like adding two 120mm fans on top of each other

"The raging fires of hell itself" doesn't seem to be as warm today. It may be a sensor near the CPU. I thought it might have be the soundcard (which is situated between my GPUs)
I decreased the Vcore and changed the CPU clock from 3.8 to 3.7, and everything looks happier. I will be looking at watercooling the CPU in the future, and seeing how much further I can overclock. I had it stable at 3.9 on air, but it got a little warm.
