Hey so im upgrading my PC i built mine about a year ago and am upgrading a new Motherboard, GPU and PSU.

All i need to know ideally is whether they all work well together, these parts are recommended via a friend and past threads on the forums so ideally i just need to know whether it will all fit, im very cautious about buying parts.

this is what i have:
-AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor
-Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM
-BitFenix Merc Alpha Gaming Case

and then what i plan to be putting in is:
-Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard
-OCZ OCZ-ZT650W-UK ZT Series 650W Modular PSU
-MSI GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card

okay would love to know if it all works! thankyou in aadvance!

OCZ have just gone bankrupt - avoid.

What is your current motherboard?

What is your total budget?

There's a 7970 in the B-grade section for a useful price. It will beat that 760:

YOUR BASKET
1 x **B Grade** Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £191.99
Total : £201.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

my current motherboard sucks, its a:
Gigabyte 970A-DS3 AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard

and my total budget is about what it is here for all 3 items,i dont want to spend to much more although that is a very nice GpU

and really they went bankrupt, dammit i need a new PSU then the only thing thats looking good out of what i chose was the motherboard and i bet ill get 10 posts telling me to change that aswell xD

The total comes to around £350 by my reckoning.

1 x Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £75.95
1 x BeQuiet Pure Power L8 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply - With 120mm Silent Wing Fan Built in £65.99
Total : £343.52 (includes shipping : £8.00).

If you don't have an SSD, I would personally keep your current motherboard and get one of them instead. You'll get much better performance gains for around the same price.

thankyou and this will all work with what i have now yep? and i dont have a SSD but i use my PC for my job which is youtube and server owning so if i was to get an SSD id want a big one which are expensive haha

You can keep your current HDD - just install your OS and applications on to the SSD and watch boot times plummet and responsiveness skyrocket.

I love SSDs.

But yes, that spec will work fine.

The 7970? It was in the B-grade section but it looks like you've missed it :( Shame, because it was a good price.

A few options:
-Get a 270X or a 760
-See if you can find a second hand 7970/280X on an auction site for a similar price
-Keep your current motherboard and spend the extra on a 280X

760 option:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gainward GeForce GTX 760 Phantom 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £194.99
1 x Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £79.99
1 x BeQuiet Pure Power L8 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply - With 120mm Silent Wing Fan Built in £59.99
Total : £344.57 (includes shipping : £8.00).

280X option:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Radeon R9 280X DirectCUII TOP 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £263.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 650W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £73.99
Total : £347.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).
