WA high-tech business helps astronomers discover the Universe
A quest to study the earliest stars and galaxies in the Universe is underway, with Australia's local industry building the first major pieces of a
revolutionary new radio telescope in Western Australia, as part of the Murchison Wide-field Array.Murchison Wide-field Array (MWA) industry
partner and Fremantle-based high-technology company, Poseidon Scientific Instruments (PSI), has been awarded a $1.3m contract by Curtin
University to build 16 packages of sensitive electronics, using a smart design suited to the environmental and radio-quiet conditions of outback WA.

The MWA is being built by an Australian consortium led by The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), a joint venture
between Curtin University and The University of Western Australia, in close collaboration with US, Indian and New Zealand partners.

The MWA is located at the Murchison Radio-Astronomy Observatory, a site operated by CSIRO and a proposed core site for the multi-billion dollar
Square Kilometre Array (SKA).

The MWA will be the first of three official SKA precursor telescopes to be completed, proving the technology and science on the path to the SKA.
Australia and New Zealand are bidding to host the SKA, with the site location to be decided in February 2012.

Thanks Shadow, just emailed you with the addon, came off the night shift this morning so I'm still on zulu time

No worries, hopefully Hez1 will be up and running tonight as the guy is known to me.

Time connected credit is running fine, work done credit = 0 at the moment, wont be long before its flowing again.

Can only get 2 connections now, its going to be about 6 hours before this gets sorted me thinks

Edit: Getting more connections now

Tell me when I should be dodging those halz bombs, for my imba slack past week or 2.

In all honesty only had BOINC running a few nights anyway. PC has been needed. However I hope to be back full time now with my elite i5! Powah. Time to catch up a lil bit... 2 instances, one can hope ;D

Thanks for news shadow, always appreciated as you know.

Glad your back onboard Colasanto, although all team averages are down for the last 24 hours due to technical
issues ours is a little lower than normal, I suspect MW3 may be a contributing factor :(

Correction - World Team Stats
Western Australia should read PPW=12797 and Avg PPD=1828

Yeah, same for BF3 and my ever increasing raiding times in Rift.

80hours past week gone into rift and 20hours into BF3 since its been out. Factor in when I need my PC for work, PC has been pretty much busy constantly.

Pretty much been the same for me as well, but will try to get back on track and come clients up and running again.

Going the stats grab at arround 7pm now (lunchtime isn't easy for me any more)
So a warm welcome to Cruize our newest member - your'll be in mondays stats

And it's good to see Hez1 is off and running

Not well. Haven't been able to reliably get through work for days. :(

I'm just setting up a Dell R710 rackmount server at work. Dual-quad-HT Xeons with 48GB RAM. Oh how I wish I could borg it! :(
