Hi Guys

Ordered 2 x **B Grade** Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE Sleeping Dogs PC Game

Question, am I right in thinking these will come voltage locked? and how do they overclock generally? I am replacing my 6950 Crossfire set up which I will have for sale, looking forward to playing Tomb Raider with everything ramped up on full with decent framerates :D

What PSU are you using as im thinking of getting a second and currently have a XFX 750W PSU will this be enough/ rig in my sig.

Also if you get the rev 2 with the 6+6 power pins and FZ1 bios with stock clocks of 1000/1250, they are only soft locked at 1.25v and can be unlocked with a bios flash.

So you have a 2 in 3 chance of getting cards which are unlocked or unlocked with a bios flash.

Good choice, enjoy your cards :)

Much you pay for B grades btw?

Cheapest 7950 here is £225 selling games is around £190 per card.

Sleeping dogs sells for £4-5 now.

2x WF is £240x2 - £100ish if you sell the games so £380 brand new with 3 years warranty.

Hope you paid less man.

I know they cheaper (or not in this case) but I could never bring myself to buy something I assume someone else was unhappy with. Each to their own though

Id ask for some games then coz you gor ripped imo.

You have 14 days to return them so just say you want the reloaded xfire bundle or youll send them back.]

Trust me you will have no problem selling them games everyone wants them they are selling 40quid a pop for Crysis and Bioshock, £35 for the Tombraider and Bioshock.

Yes I am English, but my point being is I wanted to upgrade this generation and quite fancied the gigabyte card even though my 6950s would probably have been good enough to last me until the 8000 series is released so I wanted to pay less per card rather than an extra £100, I own the games that come with the new cards and yes I could sell them but am really not fussed, im not going to need the 6950s so I can probably get back £100 per card so my upgrade to 7950s is only costing me £200 realistically, plus I could also sell the 2 copies of sleeping dogs as I already own a copy of that 2

If the games are selling for £40, he's paying the same. 2x40 =80...not 100. If he sends back, and purchases the brand new cards...guess what, the money he "saves" he's already spent posting the damn things.
If he was happy at the time to spend £200 a card, that's his choice, i'm pretty sure he wasn't ignorant to the fact new cards come with free games...and that they could be sold, but the end cost is the same. £400, so does it really matter?

Regardless of if the cards come with games or not, I hope the OP enjoys the cards. Should be nice and quick for tomb raider and pretty much anything else you want to throw at them tbh, even without messing with voltages and crazy overclocks.

No because he gets farcry 3, hitman and sleeping dogs which sell for £25+

Also new cards have better warranty?

That is the main thing.

Even if he wanted to keep some games it still works out a better deal imo.
