Ironically, these people are probably the real asylum seekers, who face a genuine threat to their lives if they are forced to return home.

The UNHCR does not always recognise war refugees as legitimate asylum seekers. Simply fleeing from a war does not guarantee refugee status, so the UK is under no legal obligation to assist these people.

They have to prove that if they returned, they would be persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion.

If they can't do that, they're shafted.

English people, in general, don't integrate in Spain and yes, house prices have risen a lot. And if the NHS can't cope is not the inmigrant fault, we are all paying taxes.

The NHS could hardly cope before but now we're having an influx of foreigners they are struggling a hell of a lot more. But as you say it's mostly down to the goverment, shame they can't put the extra money to good use!
 
I like the Polish. They are very polite and all speak English, if not they at least try to speak our language. Hard working too. We have some new Polish lads at Morrisons in Derby. Great bunch of guys, work well and really are keen to make an impression.:)
 
So Evangelion can you please inform us when the national referendum/census/poll took place for Brown signing us on?
