Thicker or Thinner Radiator.

Hi im about to purchase a watercooling kit at the end of the week and i am wondering what radiator is best to go for.

Both have the same basic dimensions but one is 250mm thick and the other is 400mm thick.

Im thinking the 400mm thick one would be better for cooling, and is about half the price of the thinner one.

Any help would be very greatful.

What radiator's are you looking at?
It's not so much the thickness but the density that matters. The more dense the rad the deeper fan you need.

A 400mm is half the price of a 250mm? Need to know what rads you're talking about to comment.

the 2 radiators im looking at are the:

Alphacool NexXxoS Xtreme II

and the

Asetek DYO DUAL Radiator RDT02 120 mm [1/2" Fittings]

I wouldn't bother with the Waterchill.

The best rad's are:Thermochill then Swiftech

I have no experience of the Alphacool rads but I guess they are pretty good.

The alphacool is the cheaper of the 2

Perhaps 25mm and 40mm thick, not 250mm amd 400mm?
